Feng is focused on iPSC-based modeling of human hereditary diseases for therapeutic development at Life Edit Therapeutics. He has more than 17 years of experience in stem cell biology and gene and cell therapy.
Prior to joining Life Edit, Feng was a research assistant professor at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh, where he has worked on stem cell application in regenerative medicine and aging. Before that, he was an instructor in the Penn State College of Medicine where he has explored the mesenchymal stem cell therapy (iPSC-derived and adult) on musculoskeletal diseases.
Feng received his MD from Anhui Medical University, MS in Medical Nutrition and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.
