Senior Associate Scientist

Preclinical Development

Kayla is responsible for the development, execution, qualification, and validation of assays that will be used to progress Life Edit's gene editing programs from research through preclinical evaluation and clinical advancement.

Prior to joining Life Edit, Kayla spent two and a half years at StrideBio developing assays to evaluate biodistribution and expression profiles of AAV therapeutics for in vivo models. Prior to that, she worked as an analytical research technician at Burleson Research Technologies, a GLP-compliant CRO who specializes in immunotoxicology.

Kayla graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Microbiology.
