Gunjan studies novel PAM sites and the off-target effects of gene editing at Life Edit Therapeutics. She has more than 10 years of experience studying genetic architecture and teasing apart the genetic basis of various complex life traits.
Prior to joining Life Edit, Gunjan was a Senior Research Associate at Ribometrix Inc., where she worked to optimize and produce gram-scale target unlabeled and biotin-conjugated RNAs used for drug discovery screenings. Before that, she was a Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at North Carolina State University’s Smart Lab, where she studied the role of long non-coding RNA and C/EBPs in apoptosis, skin cancer development, and regression.
Gunjan has a BHMS in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India, and an MS in Genetics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
