At Life Edit, Gunjan studies novel PAM sites as well as the off-target effects of gene editing. She is motivated by her colleagues and developing potential genetic medicines for improving patients' lives.
Prior to joining Life Edit, Gunjan was a Senior Research Associate at Ribometrix Inc., where she worked to optimize and produce gram-scale target unlabeled and biotin-conjugated RNAs used for drug discovery screenings. Before that, she was a Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at North Carolina State University’s Smart Lab, where she studied the role of long non-coding RNA and C/EBPs in apoptosis, skin cancer development, and regression.
Gunjan has a BHMS in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India, and an MS in Genetics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
