As part of the Protein Chemistry team, Lilian focuses on advancing new genome editing systems for development as therapeutics.
Prior to Life Edit, Lilian worked on developing novel colorimetric diagnostics for traumatic brain injuries at Chemeleon in Brooklyn, NY.
She did her postdoctoral work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center studying nutrient and mitochondrial stress response pathways that are dysregulated in cancer, metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. She received her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin where she used biochemical and structural techniques to investigate RNA chaperones involved in splicing.
