Genome Editing

Phil is responsible for testing and validation of Life Edit's gene editing systems in human cells across platform development and therapeutic areas.

Prior to joining Life Edit, he worked at Janelia Research Campus, Howard Hughes Medical Center’s flagship research institution, where he engineered genetically encoded sensors for neurotransmitters and small molecules. 

Phil received his PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied the developmental interactions between the sympathetic nervous system and pancreatic islets.
