Sachini works with the Gene Editing team to validate Life Edit Therapeutics’ next-generation gene editing platform and to develop therapeutics for life-threatening genetic diseases.

Prior to joining Life Edit, Sachini worked as a Scientist at Prime Medicine Inc., where she was a core member of the screening team as well as developed cell-based assays to rapidly assess Prime editing.

Sachini received her BS in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a PhD in Biochemistry from Wayne State University. She completed her postdoctoral work at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
