Steven works to identify, develop, and optimize Life Edit’s novel genome editing enzymes as part of the Technology Development team.
Prior to joining Life Edit, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Duke University School of Medicine where he explored the role of DNA repair in neurodegenerative diseases.
Steven earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Clemson University where he characterized key enzyme factors for the repair of DNA double-strand breaks via homology-directed repair.
