Victor works in the protein engineering group that develops RNA-guided nucleases (RGNs) and base editors. He has more than 23 years of biotechnology experience with a focus on protein engineering and development of gene and cell therapies.
Prior to joining the Life Edit Therapeutics team, Victor worked at Precision Biosciences for about 13 years, where he established the meganuclease platform for gene editing applications and phage display platform for selection of human antibodies and development of CAR-T therapies. Also, Victor worked for about seven years at Sangamo Biosciences, where he developed zinc finger nucleases for therapeutic applications. In addition, he previously developed stem cell therapies at SanBio and microproteins at Amunix.
Victor earned his PhD in Genetics from Vavilov Institute of General Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow.
